The art
What is ninjutsu
A classical Japanese martial system: taijutsu, traditional weapons and strategy, with nine schools of centuries-old history behind them. Here is exactly what we train — and what you will not find here.
What we train
A complete art, not a list of techniques
Classes combine individual body work, paired technique and training with traditional weapons. And around the technique, what gives it meaning: the history of feudal Japan, warrior philosophy and strategy that still apply today, and constant attention to the physical and mental health of the person practising.
Taijutsu — the science of the body
Movement, falls, joint locks, strikes and control: the art of moving effectively with empty hands.
Traditional weapons
Bokken, katana, staffs of every length, spear and many more. The weapon is an extension of the body, and the body is already the weapon.
The inner work
Attention, calm and presence under pressure. The mind trains too, and the body is the way in.

The lineage
The nine schools of the Bujinkan
We train under the Bujinkan, the international organisation founded by master Hatsumi Masaaki, which brings these nine traditional Japanese schools together.
A legacy handed from master to disciple, generation after generation, down to the present day.

No myths
What it is NOT
It is not the movie ninja
No vanishing in a puff of smoke, no running up walls. The mythical ninja figure is a much later construction — the historical reality is rather more interesting.
It is not a combat sport
There is no competition, no medals, no rankings. Nobody scores anybody: the only person you measure yourself against is the one you were yesterday.
It is not choreography
The techniques are real and trained with contact, control and progression. It is a pragmatic science of self-protection, not a routine to memorise.
And you — what do you learn?
More strength and mobility, better general health, more calm and discipline, more ability to protect yourself — and a practice that never ends.
Every path begins with a single step.
Yours asks for nothing you do not already have.
Not fitness, not experience, not certainty.
Only the decision to walk through the door once
and let the body understand the rest.
