What data, and where it comes from

This site has no forms. We only handle data if you write to us:

• —If you message us on WhatsApp: your phone number, whatever name you have set there, and the content of the conversation.
• —If you email us: your address and the content of your message.
• —If you call: your phone number.
• —Browsing and device data, only if you accept analytics or advertising cookies (see below).

What we use it for

The data you give us when you write is used only to reply to you, arrange your trial class, and manage your participation in classes if you go on to join. We pass it to nobody and send you no marketing by email or WhatsApp.

If you accept advertising cookies, we also measure our campaigns on Facebook and Instagram and may show you our ads again (see “Cookies, analytics and advertising”).

Legal basis

• —Your consent, when you write to us of your own accord (GDPR art. 6.1.a).
• —Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, if you enrol (art. 6.1.b).
• —Your consent, for analytics and advertising, which you give or refuse in the cookie notice and may withdraw at any time (GDPR art. 6.1.a and art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI).

How long we keep it

Conversations with people who ask and do not join: one year. Data of people who enrol: for as long as the relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as legal obligations require.

Cookies: for the time stated in the cookies section, unless you delete them sooner or withdraw consent.

WhatsApp

If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation passes through the servers of WhatsApp Ireland Limited and is subject to their own privacy policy, over which we have no control. If you would rather avoid that, email info@matsukazedojo.com or call 697 927 696.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site asks for your consent before switching on any cookie that is not strictly necessary, and lets you choose: nothing, analytics only, or analytics and advertising.

Analytics. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode and stores nothing on your device. If you accept, it sets Google's own cookies (_ga and _ga_*), which distinguish visitors and sessions and expire after two years. It only tells us how many people visit the site and which pages they read, and Google ad personalisation is switched off at all times, whether you accept or not.

Advertising. Only if you accept all cookies is the Meta pixel, from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, loaded; otherwise it is not even downloaded. The pixel sets Meta cookies (among them _fbp, which expires after ninety days) and tells Meta which pages you visit and whether you tap a WhatsApp button. We use it to learn whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram work, and to be able to show you our ads later. Meta may link that information to your Facebook or Instagram account, under its own privacy policy.

For collecting this data and sending it to Meta we are joint controllers with Meta; what Meta does with it afterwards is Meta's responsibility. Both Google and Meta may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We also keep your answer in your browser, so that we do not ask again on every page. It is not a cookie and it goes nowhere: it stays on your device.

You can change your mind at any time from the “Cookies” link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: from that moment we stop loading analytics and the pixel, and delete the cookies they had set on this domain.

The typefaces and every image are served from this same domain. Apart from Google Analytics and, if you accept it, the Meta pixel, nothing is loaded from a third party.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@matsukazedojo.com. If you believe we have not dealt with your request properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Minors

Regular classes are aimed at adults and at teenagers mature enough for them, always with their legal guardians' authorisation. We do not knowingly collect data from children under fourteen.
