Start here

You have never trained. Start here.

If you have got this far without knowing what ninjutsu is, this is your page. Whether it is for you, what you take from each class and how simple starting is — with nothing to prepare.

Who it's for

This is for you

We don't compete and we don't chase medals. We train a complete discipline passed from person to person — and it works whether you haven't set foot in a gym for ten years or you come from another martial art.

You haven't trained in years

You don't need to be fit to start. Conditioning is built through the practice, at your pace, from day one.

You come from another martial art

Discover close combat and weapons work you have most likely never seen before: nine warrior lineages built on optimal biomechanics.

You want more than a gym

Work on self-knowledge, self-discipline and self-leadership. The training is the means; you are the result.

You want to know how to protect yourself

Learn a pragmatic science of self-protection, with elements you can apply from your first class.

What you take away

What you leave each class with

The work is physical, but what comes of it reaches much further.

Move better

Gain flexibility, strength and awareness of your own body. Deep postural rebuilding, not a set of exercises.

Strengthen the mind

The mind is part of the body too, and trains the same way. Build attention, calm, emotional regulation and a handle on stress.

Learn to protect yourself

Self-protection you can use: close combat, joint locks, strikes and a wide range of traditional weapons.

Persevere

Develop self-discipline, resilience and perseverance in any circumstance, inside the dojo and out.

Know the art

Go into Japanese history and culture, Zen philosophy, and the reason behind every movement you practise.

Belong to a group

Train alongside others. A small dojo where you are known by name and the practice is shared.

From €40/month, depending on the format

No sign-up fee, no commitment. The first class is free.

The two hours

What a class is like

No two classes are the same, but nearly all of them pass through these four moments.

Deep body work

Stretching meant to unlock and reconfigure the body so that it works better — and not only for martial purposes. This is not a sports warm-up: it is deep work, meant to leave the dojo with you, in mobility, body awareness and general health.

Traditional weapons

Bō, bokken, hanbō, katana, jutte, yari… only some of the many weapons we practise with, individually and in pairs. The weapon educates the body: it corrects posture, builds strength, and teaches you to move and to execute technique efficiently.

体術

Taijutsu, unarmed

Strikes and joint locks, trained both as simple movement sequences and as old techniques from the classical schools of the Bujinkan. Taijutsu is shaped by the weapons work that precedes it: the logic of the movement is the same.

The time afterwards

Classes usually end with room to talk and answer questions, to go into the history and philosophy behind the practice, to see and handle antiques — old Japanese weapons above all — or to leave with a reading recommendation.

Beyond the martial practice, the dojo is also a place for personal development and for learning about Japanese culture.

The first questions

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The first trial class is free and carries no obligation. Just get in touch with us beforehand.
Fees start from €40 a month, depending on the format. The first class is free and commitment-free — write to us and we'll explain the options with no pressure.
There is contact, yes: we work real technique in pairs. But progression is gradual, safety is part of the practice and there is no competition — nobody is trying to beat you. In your first weeks you'll mostly learn to fall and move without hurting yourself, which is the foundation of everything.
If you have a keikogi (training clothing) from another martial art, bring it. Otherwise, comfortable clothes are fine to start — preferably long-sleeved and reasonably hard-wearing. There's nothing to buy to get started; if you decide to continue, we'll guide you on the keikogi with no rush.
Nothing to be afraid of: if you enjoyed it, we explain the formats and you decide at your own pace. There is no sign-up fee, no lock-in, no commitment of any kind. And if it's not for you, no problem — you leave with two hours of training and a good experience.
武神館松風道場

Every path begins with a single step.

Yours asks for nothing you do not already have.

Not fitness, not experience, not certainty.

Only the decision to walk through the door once

and let the body understand the rest.
